THE VICTORY ACADEMY

OUR VISION

For the last 12 years, the team at velocityHUB has been working to build leaders for some of the greatest companies in the world. Through that work, we identified an alarming reality—the world is starving for young, promising talent. Every day 10,000 baby boomers retire, taking 350,000 years of experience out of the workforce. Molding the rising generation as leaders who can positively shape the world is imperative to our success.

The Vision of the Victory Academy is to inspire leadership to Empower the Emerging Generation to maximize their Potential and Lead others to Victory.

The Victory Academy is an extension of the velocityHUB training services and is built on the wisdom of 20 years experience in business leadership. Our goal is to teach & encourage the attributes & traits of high performers to the participants to make a positive impact on our future leaders. We are never too young to learn to succeed.

In the Victory Academy, students have the opportunity to work with industry leaders—CEOs and former collegiate athletes—and experience the Victory Foundation. The Victory Foundation challenges young leaders to develop the traits & attributes of the best leaders in industry. From there, we set the expectation in our programs that once we have built a foundation, we are responsible for going back to our schools, communities, teams or groups and make others better.

OUR VALUES

The Victory Academy is built on 9 core values, which we also call our “9 Attributes of Winners.”

“Our student-athletes receive a world-class education at Brown along with a premier sports program. We felt that it’s important to increase the leadership knowledge & capabilities of our student-athletes so they can compete more effectively on & off the field of play. Velocity Performance’s Victory Academy program represented the level of leadership commensurate with an Ivy League school.”
JACK HAYES, DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS AT BROWN UNIVERSITY
“We are looking forward to the debut of the Victory Academy as an extension of our institutional commitment to transformational education and experiential learning. We believe wholeheartedly in our student population’s ability to affect global change and what better place to develop student leadership skills than at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.”
BRENDA EVANS, DEAN OF STUDENT AFFAIRS & EVENTS SERVICES, UMASS LOWELL
“Many people don’t realize the potential they have to be leaders. Ms. Rogers, Mr. Keegan, and the Victory Academy do an excellent job at showing people their full potential, and the power they possess as strong, mindful individuals. Thank you.”
SOPHOMORE CAPTAIN, BROWN UNIVERSITY
“It was a pleasure meeting you and attending your bootcamp. I learned a lot about myself and what it takes to be successful in the long-run. It was a great opportunity for me to network, but also market the MEM program & Dartmouth. I will definitely make sure to tell the rest of the MEM program how much I learned and how much I think our entire program can benefit from your workshops & your knowledge.”
STUDENT CLASS PRESIDENT, DARTMOUTH COLLEGE
“The idea is to bring to Thayer School individuals with a distinguished career transitioning from engineering to leadership in the private sector. We recognize Brendan’s success stemming from both his engineering expertise & business prowess and are delighted to welcome him as the Inaugural Distinguished Fellow. It’s one thing to be in the right place at the right time. It’s quite another to seize the moment. Brendan has done that more than just one time, but many times in his exceptional career.”
BENOIT CUSHMAN-ROISIN, DIRECTOR OF MEM DEGREE PROGRAM, DARTMOUTH COLLEGE
“Over the last 19 years, we have worked diligently at building one of the best college intern programs in the industry. After seeing Brendan speak first-hand to students at Merrimack College, we felt that by drafting him and Velocity Performance to build a Victory Academy for us, we are staying on the edge of positively impacting our staff.”
JON GOODE, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, SINGLE A RED SOX
“Amherst LEADS is looking forward to working with Velocity Performance by offering the Victory Brand program for our student-athletes. Participation in the Victory Brand program will undoubtedly contribute to the LEADS mission of enhancing student leadership competencies and preparing students to achieve success during their time at Amherst College and beyond.”
EMILY LOMBARDO, LEADS PROGRAM COORDINATOR, AMHERST COLLEGE
“We are extremely excited to be working with Velocity Performance for this year-long leadership series. Amanda and the staff bring their experience as former college athletes and as coaches. They understand young athletes and all the challenges they face and relate well to them. Also, they have listened to us and have customized a dynamic, interactive program which we believe will have a positive impact on the Rivier student-athletes not only on their fields of play, but also and more importantly in their lives outside of athletics.”
JOANNE MERRILL, ATHLETIC DIRECTOR, RIVIER UNIVERSITY
“This has been an unprecedented donation of time, money and thought leadership from Velocity Performance and the Foundation. The Victory Academy is going to give Nashua PAL a chance to reach even more kids with positive messaging, emphasizing the importance of young leaders in our community and paying great dividends for years to come. The Foundation’s Charity Bowl is shaping up to be one of PAL’s largest fundraising events in our history.”
SHAUN NELSON, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, NASHUA POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE
“The Professional Leadership Program has proven to be a transformational experience that has driven leadership for our students. We are thrilled to have Brendan and his Velocity team as guests. It is important that we offer opportunities for our students to connect with prominent business leaders and successful alumni, and by hosting Velocity Performance, we have the chance to achieve both of those goals.”
CATHERINE PERSOON, ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, RPI
Amanda Rogers offers a unique perspective on business & entrepreneurship to both the soon-to-be graduates and the younger, promising students at Endicott. Her insights were very well received by the attendees, who walked away with a heightened understanding of the professional landscape and a broader knowledge of what several of them will be facing in a few short months.”
OSCAR-WYETT MOORE, CO-FOUNDER & CHIEF REVENUE OFFICER, DOOR OF CLUBS
“Your presentation yesterday was truly inspiring, and I know that everyone really enjoyed it. We appreciate you taking the time to come meet with us. I was so motivated that I went and accepted the internship afterwards!”
GABRIELLA DAGAMA, PROJECT ENGINEER, BCCI
“It was really neat to see how your career evolved over time starting with a background in engineering and then progressively moving into sales and business. You made me really excited about starting my career & taking advantage of opportunities to grow, be bold, and have the courage & faith in moving forward.”
CELINE HECKEL-JONES, PRODUCT MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATE, ALARM.COM
“I wanted to thank you for taking the time to come to Dartmouth yesterday. Your discussion on both your career and how you managed to navigate the difficult decisions you faced during your career provided a unique insight that I hope to bring to mine in the coming years.”
